That's a wrap for this summer of 2026, marked by heat, certainly, but also and above all by the joy of rediscovering camping!

The entire team at Sous le Clocher would like to warmly thank its campers, visitors, and loyal regulars, who have made this season a great success. Smiles, encounters, moments of sharing and conviviality: so many little joys that have breathed new life into this place to which Dormans and the surrounding area are so attached.

A very special thank you to Sébastien and Céline, who deserve the highest praise for their hospitality, commitment, and sense of responsibility. Their availability, good humor, and daily dedication greatly contributed to making this season a success.

A look back at some of the summer's highlights:

• The campsite will reopen at the end of July , under the management of Christophe Bertin, a highly committed farmer-entrepreneur, and Gauthier Cuitot, a passionate hotelier and great lover of unusual experiences. This complementary duo shares a common desire: to breathe new life into Sous le Clocher and transform it into a place for relaxation, encounters, and discovery.

• A much-appreciated swimming pool! Faced with a sweltering summer and a great need for coolness, it became the essential meeting place for young and old alike. Swimming, relaxation, and bursts of laughter: it's hard to imagine this season without it!

• The arrival of new services and experiences , including the Barbecue Boat—this amazing floating boat that allows you to share a meal on the water in an unusual setting—and a pedal boat, for those who enjoy leisurely rides and gentle sensations. Plenty of ways to enjoy the pleasures of summer in a different way.

A beautiful human adventure above all

Beyond the new features and equipment, this season has above all been about reunions and the pleasure of being together.

Because Sous le Clocher is much more than a campsite: it's a place to live where you take your time, where generations meet, where regulars find their bearings and where newcomers quickly feel at home.

This first season, although it started late, reinforces our desire to grow this place while preserving what makes it charming: its simplicity, its authenticity and its friendly spirit.

And now, onward to 2027!

Even though the parasols are closing and the last campers have headed back on the road, the Sous le Clocher adventure is only just beginning!

The off-season will be an opportunity to reflect, imagine and prepare for what comes next, always with the same ambition: to offer you a welcoming, lively campsite conducive to beautiful memories.

Thank you all for writing this new chapter in the story of Sous le Clocher with us.

We are already looking forward to seeing you again for new adventures, new moments of sharing and, of course, beautiful summer evenings!

Tuesday, September 1st, is the start of the school year... and the beginning of playing hooky for our September campers!

While school bags are back in use, at the campsite, the holidays are being extended a little longer.

So come and take advantage of our special offers, valid from September 1st to 25th:

- Motorhomes & caravans: take advantage of our pitches at the same price as tent pitches;

- Electric bike rental: go for the day and only pay the price of half a day, i.e. €20;

- Barbecue Boat: For every 2 hours booked, enjoy 2 additional hours free! Book directly at reception

Due to the bad weather and predicted thunderstorms, the campsite swimming pool will be exceptionally closed all day on August 28, 2026, as a safety precaution.

Starting from Dormans, the Marne Valley cycle route #v52 offers a very beautiful way to discover the landscapes of Champagne in a different way.

Head towards Damery, Epernay and the surrounding villages, along a pleasant and accessible route, between the Marne and the vineyards.

And the good news is: no need to bring your own bike! We offer bikes for rent, both classic and electric. Perfect for easily exploring the surrounding area, whether it's a short ride or a full day's adventure.

An unusual, friendly and family-oriented experience, to be shared by up to 10 people , to enjoy the banks of the Marne in a different way.

A timeless interlude

With family or friends, embark on a relaxing journey along the water. Lunch, afternoon tea, aperitif or dinner: you choose when!

Two options are possible:

• The walk alone , simply to enjoy the navigation and the scenery.

• The Barbecue / Tableware pack , to enjoy a convivial meal directly on board.

Imagine: your loved ones around the table, the boat gliding gently on the Marne, the barbecue in the center… Now that's an outing that's out of the ordinary!
